What is a digital transfer?
Full-colour decoration without building a screen for every colour. We reproduce your artwork, apply it to the garment as a transfer, then quality-check before pickup or dispatch. It is the method we use when a logo has gradients, photos or many colours, or when the quantity is too small for screen setup to make sense.
When digital transfers shine
- Small quantities — including one-offs and samples
- Gradients, photographs and multi-colour logos
- Personalised names, numbers or short-run merch
- Designs that would need many screens to print
Typical garments: tees, singlets, hoodies and light staff shirts from our supplier ranges (AS Colour, Fashion Biz, Bocini, Bisley Workwear, Headwear Professionals, JB’s Wear, Gildan and Ramo). Unsure about a fabric? Send a photo or bring a sample to Brookvale.
How the process works
- Send the job — artwork, garment style, quantity and placement via the quote form or phone (02) 9905 3250.
- We check the file — resolution, background and whether digital is the right method versus screen printing or embroidery.
- We apply the transfer — full-colour detail on the agreed placement.
- Pickup or delivery — collect from 14 Miles Street, Brookvale, or courier via Aramex / Australia Post.
Artwork that transfers cleanly
High-resolution PNG or PDF works well; a transparent background helps. Vector files (AI, EPS or PDF) are still ideal when you have them. Soft, tiny type or a low-resolution phone photo may need tidying — we will say so before production. There is no public email on this website; use the form or phone and we reply from there.
When to choose another method
Screen printing usually wins on large runs of bold, solid colours. Embroidery is the better finish for polos, caps and workwear logos that need stitch. For event tees on the beaches, see custom t-shirt printing Northern Beaches — that page is local coverage; this page is the method.
Follow the garment care label. If a print will see heavy industrial wash, tell us on the quote — we may recommend screen print or embroidery instead.

Digital transfer FAQs
Is digital better than screen for small runs?
Often yes — especially for full-colour artwork or low quantities, where setting up many screens is not practical. We confirm the better method on quote.
Can you do one-off samples?
Yes. Jobs big and small are welcome when digital transfer is the right method — including one-offs and samples.
What artwork do you need for digital transfers?
High-resolution PNG or PDF works well; a transparent background helps. Vector files (AI, EPS or PDF) are still ideal when you have them. Send what you have and we will advise.
When should I choose screen printing instead?
Screen printing usually suits larger runs of bold, solid colours. For polos, caps and workwear that need a raised stitched logo, embroidery is the better finish. We recommend the method for your job.
